The 17th of May!
This day always brings back fond memories of my days spent managing Phil’s Jewelers on Market Street in Ballard. The 17th of May is what Norwegians refer to as “Syttende Mai,” the Norwegian Constitution Day and the official National Day of Norway. It’s a big deal in Ballard, complete with a parade and festivities.
I recently created these one-of-a-kind cuff links using Norwegian Ore coins and thought today was the perfect day to share them. We mounted the coins in a classic, smooth bezel cuff link mounting with just a hint of detail on the clips. What a meaningful gift this made for this very Norwegian fellow.
