V.I.P. (Very Important Proposal)

December 16, 2020 | Custom Design Bridal/Wedding Jewelry

Dreams do indeed come true!

Being a jewelry designer, I had always dreamed of one day, designing my daughter’s engagement ring. Knowing that my daughter had found her Mr. Right would provide the creative energy for

this very special ring.

The easiest and yet, most difficult ring I had ever created…

Easy—as the young man who was preparing to make the coming proposal is a stand-up-guy and we are so happy to have him become part of our family. He was very involved in the design process and a good decision maker. A special moment made even more special knowing that I could work together with him to create such a beautiful ring. It’s also a special memory that he and I will share for a lifetime, and for that I am so grateful.
Difficult—well…it was for daddy’s little girl!

All about the center stone

An engagement ring often begins with the perfect center stone. Finding an optimal place during 2020 to view and choose the stone posed some challenges. We were able to sneak away with the help of my wife and get the job done. He knew she desired an oval diamond and he chose this lovely stone with the pronounced oval shape. The diamond literally dances with light! (Just like my daughter) We then looked at side stone choices, and decided on a pear shape diamond on each side of the shank.  All set upon an 18k yellow gold setting with platinum heads. The ring is most worthy of a jewelers daughter, and so is her fiancé.
The proposal took place at Seattle’s historic Pike Place Market. My wife and I were able to hide out and sneak a peek at the special moment.
I am so happy for this moment in life and look forward to their bright future.
